What does the sport need?

Swimming demands upper-body strength, shoulder stability, core control and long-duration endurance

Key physical needs:

  1. Shoulder + scapular strength for repeated strokes
  2. Thoracic mobility for efficient breathing and rotation
  3. Core strength for body alignment and drag reduction
  4. Hip + ankle mobility for strong kick propulsion
  5. Aerobic + anaerobic endurance for race performance

Common gap areas → scapular stability, core control, hip mobility

Common injury risks → swimmer’s shoulder, lower back pain, knee overload (breaststroke)
