Cricket

What does the sport need?

Cricket demands sprint bursts, rotational hitting power, throwing speed, stability and stamina

Key physical needs:

  1. Posterior chain strength (glutes + hamstrings)
  2. Core + oblique power for batting
  3. Shoulder + scapular trength for throwing
  4. Acceleration & repeat sprint ability
  5. Hip–knee–ankle stability for landing and bowling loads

Common gap areas→ hamstrings, core rotation control, ankle stability

Common injury risks → lower back pain, hamstring strain, shoulder soreness, knee overload
