What does the sport need?

Football demands acceleration, repeated sprinting, sharp direction changes, kicking power and high stamina.

Key physical needs:

  1. Hip + knee + ankle strength for stability
  2. Acceleration + deceleration control
  3. Agility & change of direction (COD)
  4. Lower-body power for kicking + jumping
  5. Aerobic + anaerobic stamina for full-match intensity

Common gap areas → glute strength, hamstring strength, landing mechanics.

Common injury risks → ankle sprains, ACL strain, hamstring pull, groin pain.
